Thru The Fire Institute

At Thru The Fire Institute, we do two kinds of work.

First, we support men through The Kahu Circle—a membership-based model for deep personal work. More consistent than therapy, more connected than going it alone. Men are supported in real time; learning to regulate their nervous systems, face what they’ve been avoiding, and live with clarity, courage, and purpose. For men who want to go further, this work is deepened through 1–1 coaching and immersive Deep Reset retreats.

Second, we bring those same principles into the workplace through what we call Business Therapy. Because most business problems aren’t strategic… they’re human. When people learn to regulate stress and communicate clearly, culture improves and sales tend to follow.

Mission Statement

At Thru The Fire Institute, we help people develop self leadership by regulating their nervous systems, face challenges with courage, achieve deeper states of consciousness and communicate with greater clarity and integrity.

Vision Statement

We envision a world where people are no longer ruled by fear and the unconscious effects of trauma, but live as Kahu—caretakers of themselves, others, and the sacredness of life. A world where individuals are rooted, aware, and whole, and where their presence strengthens intimate relationships, families, organizations, and communities.

Theory of Change

We believe lasting transformation occurs when people learn to regulate their nervous system and embody Self Sovereignty and Self Leadership. By teaching people to feel before they heal, interrupt reactive patterns, and develop internal stability, they naturally improve their relationships, effectiveness, and capacity to serve. This creates ripple effects that strengthen organizations, families, and communities.

Core Principles

Self Sovereignty
The inner state of ownership—where we are no longer ruled by reactivity, but anchored in awareness, regulation, and choice.

Self Leadership
The outer expression of that state—how we show up, communicate, make decisions, and lead our life and others with clarity, integrity, and purpose.

Embodied Transformation
Real change isn’t just understood—it’s lived. It must be felt in the body, practiced in real time, and integrated into how we move through life.

Service
Healing and service are inseparable. As we become more whole, we naturally become more capable of serving others.

Courage
We don’t wait for fear to disappear. We learn to face it, move with it, and walk through the fire anyway.

Stewardship
We honor and protect what is sacred—the Earth, animals, and each other. How we live is how we care for the world around us.

Become who you were born to be.
